LONDON, 26 June, 2022: French contemporary visual artist, Lyès-Olivier Sidhoum, popularly known as Lyès, announces is his first solo exhibition in London at HOFA Gallery between 7 – 20 July 2022. Titled 'Celestial Union', the exhibition will début the artist's newest conceptual explorations in fifteen sculptural paintings, eight of which in large canvas formats.
'Celestial Union' is inspired by the nuances and shades of the sky which the artist identifies as expressions of the energy of life; the Source which connects all existence, imbuing the universe with a potent vibrancy that is both perceptible to the senses and evident to the mind. Lyès follows in the long line of artists who have looked to the sky and to nature for signs of humanity's shared oneness with the universe.

Explaining the inspiration behind the new exhibition Lyès says, "The energy of life is everywhere and in everything. That this energy connects all elements of the universe is absolutely awe inspiring and I try to express the beauty, the enigma, the sublime reality of this truth in 'Celestial Union."
He adds, "I think we experience our connection to the energy or Source of life in a profound way when we look up at the sky. Through this exhibition, I try to reawaken the sublimity of this experience and our feeling of connection to the source and to each other."
Commenting on the importance of the show, HOFA co-founder and curator Simonida Pavicevic, says, "At its best, art reminds us of the nature of our existence on a deeper level. Lyès' art does this in a way that encourages us to set worries and distractions aside and focus on who we are and the greater union of existence to which we belong."
Concluding she adds, "Lyès create art that is captivating, stimulating and intensely calming. We hope that 'Celestial Union' will be an enriching, meditative art experience for our viewers in gallery and online."
